How To Remove 1000 Calories From Your Day

How To Remove 1000 Calories From Your Day

An earlier post about removing 500 calories from your day proved to be very popular with many of you.  So, I decided to push that even further and help you remove 1000 calories from your day, without any type of structured diet.  For this to work, I prefer that your BMI is in the overweight range, to avoid any risk of having too few calories.  Here's what you can do to remove 1000 calories from your day:

  1. Remove 2 tablespoons of olive oil from your salads, or remove 2 tablespoons of any other salad dressing you use = -180 kcal
  2. Remove 1 cup (size of a baseball) of rice or pasta or 1 large potatoe from your lunch or dinner = -240 kcal
  3. Remove 1 portion of dessert from your day, like an average slice of cake, a brownie, a cookie, a cupcake, tart, etc. = (at least) -250 kcal
  4. Remove 1 slice of bread from your day (whether breakfast, lunch or dinner) or remove 1/2 cup of cereal (size of a tennis ball) = (around) -100 kcal
  5. Remove 1 tablespoon of cooking oil (like vegetable or corn oil) when preparing a meal = -135 kcal
  6. Remove 1 fruit if you are eating more than 3 (if you are eating more than 3 fruits a day, remove the excess) = (at least ) -60 kcal
  7. Remove 1 can of non-diet soda drink from your day = (at least) – 100 kcal
  8. And just to make extra sure you have removed enough calories, remove 2 teaspoons of added sugar from your day  = -40

GRAND TOTAL=  1105 calories removed from your day!

I know that not everyone eats these foods, but these are quite common and one way or another you can remove a substantial amount of calories this way.  However, if you remove these calories but indulge in fast food and "junk food", I can't guarantee you will be helping yourself much, other than the fact that you wouldn't be gaining AS much.  However, if your BMI is in the overweight range (you can calculate your BMI by signing up quickly here and instantly accessing the free body fat calculators- it's all for free), you would be doing yourself a big favor to remove these 1000 calories!
